Ho no you didn't: restaurant named after dictator inexplicably causes offense

Nobody wants to dine with a dictator.

A Brisbane Vietnamese restaurant named Uncle Ho's in a charming and witty pun on Ho Chi Minh, reportedly in order to celebrate Northern Vietnamese culture.

Some people didn't see it so much as a 'celebration' as a 'blatant disregard for the widespread death and displacement caused by Ho Chi Minh'.

Jeanette Francis explains, for those who struggle with the concept, why naming a restaurant after a dictator isn't the best of ideas.
