Casting an informal vote (a vote where the ballot paper isn't correctly filled out) is a sure fire way to slap democracy in the face. But while some people choose to not exercise their civic right to vote, the way many go about it can be goddamn entertaining.

Here are the best informal votes from today's election. 

And this less artistic phallus accompanied by an unnecessarily aggressive note.

This one that's funny, but only because they're joking.

And this one that's less funny, but only because they're not.

This one by a talented voter who was clearly overwhelmed by the sheer size of that ballot paper.

This one with a little 'extra dollop'.

This one that could very well pioneer the 'democracy kebab'.

This one that voted for the Kramer Party.

And this one that just wanted to party.

This one that voted for a queen.

And this one that voted for THE queen.
