An aid group says donations are still needed to prevent mass starvation in East Africa.

The Save the Children group says the worst food crisis ever in the region, now about six months old, will continue well into 2012.

Save the Children says it needs to attract double the amount of funds it has so far raised, to be able to continue to provide food aid to about 250,000 children.

Spokesman Scott Gilbert spoke with Kristina Kukolja.
