An Aboriginal health worker in the ACT says there are doubts about the long-term effects of "close the gap" efforts.

 

Julie Tongs has been a strong advocate for culturally-appropriate health care services, and has led the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service for more than 12-years

 

She told Phillippa Carisbrooke she was recently honoured to be awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia.
