Britain and the United States have withdrawn their diplomatic representation from Syria.
Britain and the United States have withdrawn their diplomatic representation from Syria.
This follows the UN Security Council's failure to pass a resolution to back an Arab League call for president Bashar al-Assad to relinquish power.
The move comes amid reports of a dramatic escalation of violence in Homs - a city that's become a centre of armed opposition to president Bashar al-Assad.
