US anger over Egyptian move against activists

The US government is theatening to cut aid to Egypt, over its intention to prosecute dozens of pro-democracy activists.
An international incident continues to develop in Egypt, with the government's intention to prosecute dozens of pro-democracy activists.
The activists work for Egyptian and American non-government organisations, whose offices were raided in December.
In response, the US government is threatening to cut more than a billion dollars of aid to Egypt.
