Alarm over Indigenous child suicide in NT

The Northern Territory's Children's Commissioner says he's alarmed by the high rate of suicide among Indigenous children.
An inquiry in Darwin has heard Indigenous children are taking their lives at massively higher rates than non-indigenous children, and the problem is worst in the Northern Territory.
The Select Committee on Youth Suicide has heard that indigenous girls in the Territory's remote areas have the highest risk of fatal self-harm in the nation.
The Territory's Children's Commissioner Howard Bath told Karen Ashford, it is becoming an extremely servious problem.
