There are many elements in a K-pop song that makes it stand out, but one thing that will never not be an earworm is whistling!

Whistling has been around forever, but K-pop artists have taken this little trick and used it to make their awesome songs even more memorable. So without further ado, here are 11 of the greatest K-pop songs that feature some lip-puckering whistling (in no particular order)!

11. SPICA - Russian Roulette

SPICA may sadly be no more, but we'll forever have the awesome "Russian Roulette," which not only features the girls showcasing their stunning vocals and whistling skills, but also an absolutely stunning MV!

10. Brown Eyed Girls - Kill Bill

Named after the Quentin Tarantino movie of the same name, Brown Eyed Girls decided to put their own spin on "Kill Bill" - complete with whistling sounds and incredible dancing!

9. DAY6 - I Loved You

Befitting DAY6's pop-rock sound, the whistling noises just complements "I Loved You's" angsty tone. It even manages to make the MV just that little bit more impactful!

8. LABOUM - Hwi Hwi

In a perfect example of how to really put a smile on anyone's face using some whistling, LABOUM's "Hwi Hwi" is one of those tunes where you can't help but bop your head to!

7. K.Will - Please, don't

Sure the MV is most famous for THAT twist ending, but what really makes the song and video's message even more impactful is the sad-sounding whistling that happens in the background throughout the song's entirety.

6. SEVENTEEN - Smile Flower

SEVENTEEN are a talented bunch who have experimented with whistling noises for some of their songs, but "Smile Flower" manages to incorporate whistling to really kick home the song's melancholy feel.

5. Trouble Maker - Trouble Maker

Between Hyuna and Hyunseung's chemistry to the stunningly beautiful MV, one of the big things that made Trouble Maker one of the most memorable jams in recent years is the opening whistling segment!

4. B.A.P - Honeymoon

B.A.P have actually incorporated whistling into a number of their songs, but perhaps the most memorable one is the opening wistful whistling in "Honeymoon!"

3. Girls' Generation - Party

Keep an ear out and you can hear some whistling during the chorus of this incredibly upbeat tune!

2. BTS - DNA

The latest single to feature whistling, it comes in right from the very start courtesy of Jungkook and the melody will immediately get stuck in your head for days!

1. BLACKPINK - Whistle

The title definitely gives it away, but the whistling is one of many elements (“make’em whistle like a missile bomb, bomb!”) that immediately made "Whistle" instantly iconic.
