Malta: Amber

SEMI FINAL 2: Amber from Malta will perform 'Warrior' at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest held in Vienna, Austria.

Eurovision
The second entry to carry the title of 'Warrior' comes from Malta’s ambitious Amber. After five attempts to represent her nation, plucky Amber finally won the chance to represent her home with 'Warrior', a dramatic drum driven ballad. This is one of the contests more contemporary ballads combining musical styles which should appeal to a broad variety of voters. Don’t stress though there’s nothing here that will trouble Guy or any of the other front runners for this year’s crown.

4 Questions with Amber

What are three interesting aspects about your entry?

'Warrior' is very sentimental, and easy for anyone to relate to. The song is motivational and positive as it provides courage and determination to overcome obstacles. Also interesting is the contrast between the classical and the modern, the dubstep.

What are three impressive facts about you?

I am adventurous, full of energy and impressively ordinary!

Do you have a (lucky) routine before you go on stage?

I say a little prayer.

Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?

The Eurovision Song Contest is a great platform for all performers. It’s an incredible opportunity to perform in front of millions of people across Europe and around the world; and there’s no audience like the audience of the contest. I would love to have my own album and go on tour. Who knows, the Eurovision Song Contest might make that happen.
