United Kingdom: Electro Velvet

GRAND FINAL: Electro Velvet from the United Kingdom will perform 'Still In Love With You' at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest held in Vienna, Austria.

Electro Velvet
A bit of a surprise when announced by the BBC, there’s now some significant momentum behind the UK’s electro swing pop offering from spunky duo Electro Velvet. Boasting over a million views on YouTube “Still in Love with You” is super fun and probably the contest's most infectious entry. Desperate to reverse its recent dismal recent results Electro Velvet may just do for the UK what The Common Linnets did for The Netherlands last year. This surprisingly good entry from Team UK may see them grab a significant portion of the televote.

Things you should know about Electro Velvet

The song is Electro-Swing which is a combination of vintage music, brought up to date with modern bass lines and beats. Alex is a big fan of Louis Armstrong which inspired the scat section. It's a hugely catchy song, a real 'ear worm'!

Bianca can do a great impression of Britney Spears and even though they're called Electro Velvet, Alex hates the feel of the velvet!

Bianca likes to wear something small that was her grandma's while Alex has to wear odd socks!

Electro Velvet grew up watching the Eurovision Song Contest and admired the fantastic performers and staging - it's the biggest singing competition in the world and they're so proud to be taking part - especially in such a special year - the 60th Anniversary!
