Living Black Radio
SBS Living Black Radio broadcasts three times a week.
Broadcasting three times a week, SBS Living Black Radio has taken a leap from its long history as The Aboriginal Program to expand on new connections with Living Black TV and fellow indigenous journalists.
The Living Black Radio team is: Michelle Lovegrove, Executive Producer and Presenter, Garfield Samuels, Producer and Presenter, Dan Conifer, News Presenter and Larteasha Smith, Music Producer Presenter.
The new Living Black Radio actually began broadcasting 19 years ago, with a half hour weekly spot on SBS National Radio. It’s now on air three hours a week - Mondays and Wednesdays at midday and Friday nights at 9pm with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music only!
The program is available on multiple radio frequencies via SBS’ national network, and on Wednesdays also broadcasts via satellite on the National Indigenous Radio Service, giving it the largest indigenous radio footprint in the country. It is also available on the World Wide Web and on SBS Digital Radio.
Living Black Radio focuses on professional and compassionate coverage of indigenous news and current affairs as they happen, as well as indigenous sport, health, community issues, new music and the many success stories in indigenous communities large and small.
