Mahers love of the Greek culture, Greek people and Greek food has been an inspiration as well as his drive to succeed in life, despite the many challenges he faced. He eventually came to Australia after a decade in Greece but his continued love for anything Hellenic made him open a Greek eatery in the heart of Fairfield West in the western Sydney suburbs dominated by Iraqi and Syrian refugees and migrants compared to other nationalities.
