Kythera: The Australian island of Greece

According to the Mayor of Kythera Efstratios Charhalakis tens thousands people of Kytherian descent living in Australia . Thanks to the thousands of Kytherians that came in the first wave of migration to Australia in the early 20th century, the little island has been catering to the many Greek Australians of Kytherian decent since then and it is regarded as the Australian island of Greece.Now Mr Charhalakis wants to strengthen the ties between Kythera and the Kytherian community Australia. He spoke to Sotiris Hatzimanolis.
