Barramundi, Australia's iconic table fish, has the potential to boost freshwater aquaculture trade between Australia and India.

The name Barramundi comes from the Aboriginal language. But its Hindi meaning is also same - a fish with big head.

A variety of Barramundi is quite popular in coastal parts of India.

Today, the annual production of Barramundi in Australia is around 6000 tons.
