Around the world in 11 days

He was guided through the harsh weather conditions by his son Oscar and also John Wallington, the first man to cross Australia in a hot air balloon, and others. Here are the first shots of Fedor as a man who set the new speed world record circumnavigating globe on Morton balloon (courtesy of Nikolai Ponomarev).

Fedor went through several hurdles during these 11 days.

He struggled for almost 2 days without heaters, being dragged almost to Antarctica, his oxygen masks got frozen and strong cyclones brought enormous cumulonimbus clouds that practically barricaded his way.

He was close to the situation of landing into the Ocean, but it all was resolved into him completing the full circle around the globe and making several records at once!

He did it on his first attempt, whilst it took Steve Fossett 5 balloons before he managed to connect the circle.

He reached the record high of 10614 meters above the sea level, travelled the longest distance and finally he made it ‘quick’!
