The Android version is currently the number one free sports app in the Google Play marketplace. SBS’s Tour de France podcast, the Sag Wagon, has had more than 10,000 plays across six episodes.

Ken Shipp, Head of Sport SBS said: “SBS was the only place to see Orica-GreenEDGE’s historic stage wins in what was a great moment for Australian cycling and these results for SBS have shown once again that Australians love the Tour de France. This year is SBS’s biggest coverage of the Tour de France, with more hours dedicated to the event than ever before and a complete mutli-platform offering via the award-winning SBS Skoda Tour Tracker and website.”

Last year the Tour de France reached a total of 6 million viewers nationally.

Live coverage of the Tour de France continues on SBS each night at 10pm until 21July, with morning updates at 7:30am and daily highlights at 6:00pm. Coverage of the final stage begins at 2am on Monday 22 July.
