'Moon Safari' is an unmistakable staple of the down-tempo/electronic genre, it's tracks fill playlists and countdowns the world over. (including SBS Chill's #Chillest 100)

Amazingly, 'Moon Safari' is celebrating it's 20th birthday in January 2018, and the love and influence the album commands has not waned.

For many, 'Moon Safari' provided a safe gateway into a new world of electronic fused music, a world that they may have previously looked at with suspicion and disdain.

'Moon Safari's' success lies with it's ability to combine old rock/pop sensibilities with a new electronic flavour. Tracks like 'Remember,' (a possible homage to The Beach Boys, 'Do It Again',) and 'Le Voyage De Penelope,' a synth swelling instrumental that wouldn't be out place on an early 70's Pink Floyd record, made it accessible to a listener who's ear was more attuned to that of a guitar band.
