It can be extraordinarily confusing keeping up with what foods are ‘good’ for you. Should you actually put olive oil or salt in your coffee as recent food trends suggest? Is white rice a no go? And which seafoods are actually sustainable? In Should You Really Eat That? host Lee Tran Lam explores the cultural, social, and nutritional confusion over the staples in our diet.

Award-winning chef at Attica restaurant, Ben Shewry, was so baffled by that question of what seafoods were ethical that he took finned fish off his menu for two years.

There can be so much conflicting information around food, even for the staples in our diet like rice, bread, tea, coffee, cheese, and seafood.

Food writer Lee Tran Lam is on a journey to filter out the grains of truth from the noise.

First on the menu is rice. Follow Should You Really Eat That? in your podcast app to hear the first episode when the series launches on Thursday October 12.
