On the 14th of September in 2015 – Malcolm Turnbull wrestled the prime ministership of Australia away from Tony Abbott in a Liberal party room spill – winning 54 votes to 44.


We need a different style of leadership, a style of leadership that respects the people's intelligence. We need advocacy, not slogans.

Mr Turnbull’s victory reverses the defeat that Mr Abbott imposed on him in 2009 while in opposition.
The prime ministership of this country is not a prize or a plaything to be demanded. It should be something which is earned by a vote of the Australian people.

Mr Turnbull’s career has included success in law, business, and spearheading Australia’s republican movement.

He was sworn in as Australia’s 29th PM – the 5th in as many years.
