Did you know that 1975 brought Australia the biggest constitutional crisis in the nation’s history, triggered by the unexpected sacking of Prime Minister Gough Whitlam?


It was also the year two radio stations, 2EA in Sydney and 3EA in Melbourne, pioneered broadcasting in eight languages.
That initial experiment ultimately led to the creation of SBS.
