It’s the Chinese dating show famed for blistering put-downs and meme-worthy quotes, and that’s just from host Meng Fei. Now in its ninth year, If You Are the One has earnt itself a cult following around the world thanks to its refreshingly candid take on the dating show, where male suitors try to impress a panel of not-easily-impressed female contestants.

Seriously, they're tough to please.

But then again, the guys are often pretty hopeless.

Since 2013, it’s been a staple of SBS’s programming, and from 7 July will take up pride of place in our Saturday night line-up on SBS VICELAND. Airing at 7:30pm, it’s the perfect show to watch before heading out on your own date, providing countless examples of what not to do or say on a night out.
