The legendary host of Jeopardy! (SBS VICELAND, weeknights) died early Sunday morning at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family and friends at the age of 80.

For 36 years he was the man with all the answers (well, questions really) on the iconic game show Jeopardy!. The official Jeopardy! Twitter account announced the news on 9 November, that Alex Trebek had passed away at the age of 80 from pancreatic cancer.

"Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends."

Celebrities, former contestants, world leaders and fans have been remembering Trebek and celebrating some of his best and most iconic moments on social media. Here is just a very small collection.
