Adelaide United's teeming supporters paint their city red as the Red Army invades

The city of Adelaide has been in party mode since the full time whistle ended Sunday night's A-League Grand Final.Adelaide United was crowned champions for the first time since its inception 12 years ago.A large section of the 50,000 crowd that watched their team defeat Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 spilled into the central Adelaide the following day to salute their heroes.

Fans of A-League club Adelaide United painted the city red on Monday, still celebrating their maiden league championship.

The Reds players who helped overcome the Western Sydney Wanderers in the grand final on Sunday were grateful for their home-town support.
