COAG Meeting

The Prime Minister says vital issues were discussed at COAG (Council of Australian Governments) meeting in the Tasmanian capital, Hobart, including terror and security in the face of what he calls the rising threat of Islamist terrorism.

Energy security, social and economic issues were also discussed.

 

Malcolm Turnbull said agreement has been reached to further strengthen the joint counter terrorism teams enabling more information to be shared.

 

A special COAG meeting on security will also be held soon.
