The Congress of Manastir began in November 1908, the most important decision of which was to adopt the unified Albanian alphabet, which is why it is often called the Alphabet Congress.
On November 14, 1908 in Manastir (Bitola) was created the alphabet that would be the beginning of all Albanian literature.
