A controversial penalty decision has denied Australia a key World Cup-qualifying victory over Syria in football in Malaysia. Instead, the 1-1 draw means the Socceroos' chances to advance in the qualifiers now rest on Tuesday (oct 10) night's rematch between the two teams in Sydney.
