At the end of the war in Kosovo, then the Australian government decided that these people had to return to their country. About 600 people were allowed to stay for medical reasons. For these displaced people, obtaining a permanent residence permit was not easy, on the contrary, it had brought years of waiting and uncertainty.Today, these Kosovars are part of Australian life, part of the Australian people.
