Up to 3,000 army reservists will be deployed to fight Australia's bushfires. Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the Governor-General has signed off on the call-out of Australia Defence Force [[ADF]] reserves to be sent to the fire zones. He says the federal government has also authorised funding for the lease of four additional waterbomber aircraft -- and the use of another navy vessel. Mr Morrison says the so-called "ADF surge" is about responding to the scale of bushfire crisis.
