Victoria's daily COVID-19 tally has raised hopes of a more extensive easing of restrictions on Sunday [[18 October]]. The state has recorded two new cases and no deaths -- the lowest figures in more than four months. It comes as the federal government outlines a plan to get some of the thousands of Australians still trapped overseas home.
