Migrant mothers leaving their children to seek work overseas is a world-wide phenomenon that deeply affects everyone involved. Because of an explosion in migration from countries like Brazil, the largest migrant group from Latin America resident in Australia, it’s becoming increasingly common here in Australia. In 2017 alone… more than $40 million dollars was sent back to loved ones still living in Brazil.
