Sunday night (05 May) marks the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. It begins 30 days of prayer, fasting and spiritual rejuvenation, culminating in the festival of Eid al-Fitr. Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic year, is associated with daily fasts and prayers. We interviewed Dr Bekim Hasani Imam of the Albanian Mosque in Carlton (Melbourne.)
