Inaugurated in village of Fishtë the renovated house of At Gjergj Fishta

The reconstructed building is the house where Father Gjergj Fishta, the author of "Lahuta e Malësisë", one of the most brilliant Albanian pens and Renaissance, spent his youth. Reconstruction of the house where Fishta spent his childhood, according to Prime Minister Edi Rama, is one of the links of the project "Gjurmët Fishtiane", which aims to bring out of oblivion all the places where writer spent the stages of his life.

Fishta village is one of the beneficiaries of the Albanian government tourism program "100 villages."

The house was inaugurated on October 23, during a visit of Prime Minister Edi Rama in Fishta, Lezhë.

This date coincides with the 149th anniversary of the birth of Father Gjergj Fishta.

Father Gjergj Fishta was born on October 23, 1871 in Fishta, passed away in Shkodra on December 30, 1940.
