IOC to announce 2024 and 2028 Games hosts in September

The International Olympic Committee has agreed to break with tradition and announce the host cities of the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games on the same occasion.

The joint awarding of the two Games is expected to take place at an IOC meeting in Peru's capital, Lima, in September. (Sept 13)

Los Angeles and Paris are the only bidders for the 2024 Olympics after several cities withdrew their bids.
