Is Australia about to sign an asylum deal with the US?

There are reports Australia and the United States will soon sign a deal to resettle people from the Nauru and Manus Island detention facilities.

The Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull refused to speculate.

 

But one Cabinet minister says, if such a deal is in the making, there would be time to seal it before the inauguration on Donald Trump as president.
