A senior Muslim figure has spoken out about the rise of far-right political groups in Australia, as thousands of Muslims gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan.


Politicians also condemned bigotry and hatred as they joined Australian Muslims marking Eid al-Fitr, a religious holiday celebrated by more than 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide.
