Research reveals acts of ageism are 'common'

In just 30 years, Australians aged 65 years and older are forecast to make up about a quarter of our population. But a new national survey commissioned by an SBS series on discrimination has found that age-based discrimination is rife in Australian society, with more than half of respondents indicating acts of ageism are 'common.'
