Victoria's Covid cases finally look to be falling

The coronavirus crisis in Australia appears to be abating - for now - or could it be a temporary lull? Covid-infected states in the east are pushing on with reopening and vaccination efforts, as daily cases mostly fall. Meanwhile the virus-free west is continuing to bolster its defences ahead of an expected arrival of Covid-19 from next year.
