Virgin announces extreme changes under its pandemic recovery plan

Virgin Australia is to shed a third of its workforce, and bring an end to its Tigerair brand as part of a drastic overhaul of the airline. The carrier says affected workers will be offered voluntary redundancies as it shrinks to survive amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
