صدمت صورة النائب الشاب و السابق عن حزب الاحرار من ولاية كوينزلاند الأستراليين بعد أن اجتاحت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ويظهر وايات روي (26 عاماً) في الصورة برفقة أحد مقاتلي البشمرغة في العراق. وفي حين وصفت وزيرة الخارجية تصرف روي بالغير مسؤول قال روي للقناة التاسعة اليوم أنّه اراد فقط أن يرى مايحصل على أرض الواقع خاصة وأن هناك استراليين موجودين في العراق حالياً ويساهمون في المعارك ضد داعش: 3009m914 ROY 21s

Only absolutely essential Australians need to be there in terms of military personnel, security personnel who might happen to work there.
