77% of Australians have voted!

More than 12 million people have returned their surveys on same-sex marriage, representing 77 per cent of those entitled to vote.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimates it has received an additional 400,000 survey forms in the week to Friday, October 27,
bringing the total to 12.3 million voters.

The survey closes on November 7, with results to be released on November 15
