Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott says Australians will be better off voting for Labor, rather than independent politicians and minor parties.
It comes as independents such as Clive Palmer and Rob Oakeshott ramp up their election campaigns, hoping to take votes away from Mr Abbott’s Liberal Party.

Mr Abbott has told Macquarie Radio more independent and minor party politicians will weaken parliament's credibility.
