Amnesty International is calling on the Australian Government to reveal whether its military exports to Saudi Arabia are being used in the conflict in Yemen.

A new report from the humanitarian organisation has found Saudi-led coalition forces have imposed excessive restrictions on the entry of essential goods and aid, while Houthi  authorities have obstructed aid movement within the country.

The United Nations reports over 22 million Yemenis are dependent on aid, with an estimated 8.4 million believed to be on the verge of starvation.

Amnesty International's Diana Sayed says the Australian government needs to ensure it's not inadvertently contributing to the conflict.
