After a temporary ban during the northern hemisphere summer, a vessel carrying 57,000 live sheep will leave Australia for the Middle East on Monday.

The sheep are being loaded at Fremantle Port in Western Australia, before beginning a 14-day journey bound for Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

It’s the first vessel to depart Australia since a temporary ban was imposed at the start of June this year.
