Australia’s reputation as a good place to live and work is in free fall among some of the world’s most mobile and cosmopolitan people.
Last year, Australia was listed in the top 10 best countries for expats to live and work, but has since dropped in ranking more than any other country, to 34th place, according to a survey of almost 13,000 expatriates of 166 nationalities. Career prospects, work hours and work-life balance were all rated lower than previously.
The number of respondents with a positive reaction to the quality of Australia’s education dropped too, down to 70 per cent in 2017 from 84 per cent in 2016
