Queensland will start processing EOIs from July 25 under the new Skilled Occupation List and the new Business and Investment criteria.

The Skilled Occupation List of Queensland for state-nominated permanent resident visa and skilled regional sponsored visa comes into effect on July 25th.

The list is applicable for those who are not currently working in their nominated occupation in Queensland.

To be eligible for Queensland nomination, Subclass 190 visa applicants must meet a minimum of two years’ work experience post qualification in the nominated occupation, besides the DIBP requirements.

For Subclass 489 visa and applicant is required to meet a minimum of two years’ work experience post qualification in the nominated occupation, or have an offer of employment for 12 months in regional Queensland in the nominated or a closely related occupation.

In all cases, the applicants must meet the DIBP requirements.

Business & Skilled Migration Queensland will also start accepting applications for Business and Investment visas under the new criteria.
