Dog attack kills woman in Canberra

A woman has died after being attacked by a dog in Canberra.

A man was also injured in the incident.

Police say the woman died at the scene of the attack, in the suburb of Watson.

Tony Crocker of A-C-T Police says the noise from the incident alerted neighbours, who called authorities.

The dog also attacked police, but they were not hurt.

The dog has been euthanased
