Eurydice Dixon's killer sentenced to life in prison

The man who raped and murdered aspiring comedian Eurydice Dixon in an "evil" attack at a Melbourne park has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum non-parole period of 35 years.

Speaking outside the court, the 22-year-old's father refused to comment on the sentence but said his daughter should be remembered for her "wit and kindness", not the circumstances of her death.
