First Daigou Hub in Australia draws a crowd

Australian businesses are being encouraged to tap into the booming daigou (DIE-go) industry, where buyers purchase popular products like vitamins or baby formula and send them to China.

The daigou (DIE-go) industry, where students, tourists and mothers buy Australian products on behalf of Chinese customers and send them direct to China, is showing no signs of slowing down.

 Now, Australia's first dedicated Daigou Hub has drawn huge crowds in Sydney.

 The first specific working space for daigou -- which translates to "buying on behalf of" -- and Australian suppliers launched in Sydney today. (thur)

Over 70 suppliers, a large number of investors, 150 daigou and a live viewing audience from China of 730,000 people were involved.
