Government is not yet concerned about missing athletes from Cameron

The federal government says it is not concerned about the eight athletes from Cameroon who disappeared from the Commonwealth Games' athletes village because they still hold valid visas.

Some reports allege the missing athletes are trying to gain unauthorised permanent entry into Australia.

But Games officials are urging caution before assuming the reasons behind the disappearances.

Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs Minister Alan Tudge has told Sky News, the government will act if there are any visa breaches.
