Huge spike in NSW truck crash fatalities

The number of deaths from crashes involving articulated trucks on NSW roads rose 92 per cent last year, the latest official figures show.

NSW Police have been cracking down on truck safety and compliance after no fewer than a dozen people died in truck crashes in the first two months of this year.

But the Transport Workers' Union says the real issue is not being addressed.
